Questions, questions and more questions. We have all heard that famous question “are we there yet?”¬†Children have a natural curiosity when it comes to their world. Asking questions is part of a child’s natural development. As a teacher or parent, it is important to harness this enthusiasm because asking questions can develop their higher order thinking skills, develop their general knowledge and problem solving skills. These are all very important skills necessary for them to function in our world. When children ask questions they are actively involved in their learning as they list, describe, illustrate, compare, defend and create.
